Biography
I am a Ph.D. student in sociology, an ethnographer, and a Health Policy Research Scholar (HPRS) trainee. I am interested in interrogating how gender inequality implicated at the family setting is an extension of state violence, and want to examine what gender inequality looks like within a displaced community such as refugees. Specifically, I want to investigate the impacts of gender inequality on Hmong women in the U.S. and Thailand and how they exert agency in the presence of gender inequality.
