Joshua Page


Joshua Page is the Fink Professor of Sociology and Law at the University of Minnesota. He is the author of The Toughest Beat: Politics, Punishment, and the Prison Officers Union in California (2011) and co-author (with Michelle Phelps and Phil Goodman) of Breaking the Pendulum: The Long Struggle over Criminal Justice (2017). He’s currently writing a book with Joe Soss titled Legal Plunder: Predatory Policing and Punishment in the United States. He serves on the board of directors of The Legal Revolution and the research steering committee of The Minnesota Justice Research Center.
