Biography

Dr. Lin Xiu is a professor of human resource management. Dr. Xiu received her PhD in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from the University of Toronto and joined the University of Minnesota – Duluth in 2010.

Dr. Xiu’s research interests focus on a range of topics related to human resources management, including workplace diversity, international human resource management, salary negotiation, and employee wellbeing. Her research work has been published in the British Journal of Industrial Relations, International Journal of Manpower, Labour, Journal of Economic Psychology, and Personnel Review, among others. Dr. Xiu serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of International Manpower. Dr. Xiu is also an elected co-chair of the Employees of Color and American Indians (EOCAI) (2022-2024) and co-chair of the UMD faculty senate (2022-2023) at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
